Bugs! Bugs! Bugs!

The Dung Beetle


Harvey and Louise from the Greater Wellington Regional Council came to talk to us about the mysterious Dung Beetle.


A Dung Beetles Tunnels


Gall Flys that have been used to eat the seeds to control the noxious weed Wondering Dew.

  
Dung Beetles help to take the fertilizer from the farm paddocks in to the soil so that it doesn't run off in to New Zealand's streams and rivers.
